Why the modern Aqua filters, even RO cannot give you Healthy WATER?

A growing body of recent scientific evidence is now confirming traditional intuitive understandings of water's role as mediator between the energetic and material worlds and its function as an accumulator, transmitter and transducer of energy patterns and information. Much evidence points to water's ability to effectively memorize energy patterns with which it comes in contact and retain the energetic memory of vibrational frequencies for extended periods of time.

A particularly striking example of water's "memory" of energetic information are the sources of water found throughout Europe at Marian sanctuaries, sites traditionally recognized as sacred, where apparitions of the Virgin Mary have been reported and numerous healings have taken place.

Scientific analyses have demonstrated that the Marian waters possess unique properties. Recognized throughout the ages for their healing properties, the sources of water found at these sacred sites are believed to have recorded within them the frequencies of spiritual or higher dimensional energy associated with each of the sanctuaries.

This fact has been confirmed by many researchers throughout the world. One of them is Dr. Masaru Emoto from Japan. Through his work, we are provided with factual evidence, that human vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular structure of water.

Dr. Emoto has discovered many fascinating differences in the crystalline structures of water from many different sources and different conditions around the planet. Water from pristine mountain streams and springs show the beautifully formed geometric designs in their crystalline patterns. Tap water, distilled water, RO water and stagnated water from water pipes and storage tanks show definitively ugly formed crystalline structures.

Water comprises over seventy percent of a mature human body and covers the same amount of our planet. Water is the very source of all life on this planet, its quality and integrity are vitally important to all forms of life.

The body is very much like a sponge and is composed of trillions of chambers called cells that hold liquid. The quality of our life is directly connected to the quality of our water.

What we eat and drink affects our mind, body and spirit. The more your food and water is filled with positive energy, the more positive energy your mind, body and spirit has. Nowadays, we people are very much concerned about the purity of our water and food.

But we forget that even distilled water is pure, but is it healthy? No. It is dead water. Similarly RO water can also be pure but it is not healthy. Because it does not have any positive energy in it.

We all know some of the miraculous healing properties of water at some sacred sites like the Ganges water before we polluted it.  Card’s powerful divine energies make any water become blessed and healthy water in less than 2 minutes. Just put the card under or over a glass or container of water.

And
Life Card has the same effect on any food item, even the dead and harmful Microwaved food (Microwave Ovens were banned in Russia at one time because of their well known harmful effects on the food items.).

Imagine how many illnesses can be avoided if we get healthy food and water anywhere we go, even at restaurants or parties. Just take out your Life Card from your pocket and put it under any food item for a minute and half, and you have health assured. What more you can be assured that your kids get positive energy even from their chocolates, ice-creams and chips (You and I cannot ban them from enjoying the fast food anyway!). At least we can save them from getting the harmful effects of the fast food items on their mind, body and spirit. Not only that, it also transforms the side-effects producing energies from your medicines and cooking oil. And infuse them with positive energy.

Back to Harmony

Back to Harmony

Are you stressed? Don’t you get tired of keeping up with the joneses? In spite of all the gadgets in your home don’t you feel empty inside? Doesn’t the same daily routine bogs you down sometimes? Don’t you think your workplace stress is spilling over to your home life or vice versa? Do you keep on worrying about your children’s future? Do you feel you need more power, more energy in your life?

It looks like the majority of us are divided in two categories. Either, we are so busy – over tight schedules, meetings, deadlines, targets and so on resulting in a totally disoriented family life where we find fathers who don’t even know in which class their children are studying.

Or, on the other hand we have the couch potatoes for which companies like Balaji make these Saas-Bahu operas showing totally artificial values – black and white people. Either the characters are saints or they are nothing short of devil’s direct agents on Earth. The couch potatoes keep on lapping up these operas to the point that no creativity and light is left in the mind. They don’t even realize that they have become addicts. That they are totally hypnotized.

This kind of imbalanced living has created a havoc in society. It is an outbreak of a proportion of an epidemic which has not even spared the children. Surveys after surveys are coming to the same conclusions. The truth is out. It is none other than Stress and the other lifestyle diseases namely heart problems, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, back pain etc.

Every day we see even young people being taken to the emergency wards with a stroke or heart attack. And the relatives talk among themselves outside in utter awe how come he(she)? He had no problem earlier. How did it happen so unexpectedly? Surprise! How come the disease develop?
Of course, a disease of such magnitude cannot be an accident. It’s only that we have become so unconscious that we don’t heed to the early signs.

I hear so often from our elders, “In our times the children were so simple, a new born won’t even open his/her eyes for a whole month. Today’s children are so smart.” And I would reply that how much impressions did the child use to get in earlier times. Nowadays, even in his/her mother’s womb the child is bombarded with all kind of impressions from TV, radio, traffic noise, etc. etc.
The other times they would say, when we were at your age, we were so energetic. Today’s generation is so lousy and weak. Now you see the quality of air, water, food and impressions we receive in our daily lives has changed drastically in the last 30 years or so.

Our lives have become so complex. Our desires, competition have multiplied many folds. The simple joys and happiness has no place in our lives today. Their place is taken up by stress, disease and depression. One wise man said,
“Its so simple to be happy, but it is so difficult to be simple”. And that sums up the whole problem of the modern life. The more complex the life gets, the more less joy, the more less happiness, the more stress, the more disease and more depression.

The fact is in our race to become more modern we are constantly discarding our ancient wisdom. We have lost touch with the Nature, in fact we are hell bent on destroying it. But how can a society be healthy when it wants to destroy its own roots? How can we live a healthy and happy life until we are not in harmony with Nature, with one another and with our own inner selves? Our ancestors in the vedic age taught us that to lead a happy life we have to live in harmony with ourselves, with others and with Nature. Here I list a few steps that can help us in our journey back to harmony, health and happiness:

Slow down
“…You better slow down. Don' t dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last….”
So goes the lines from a child’s poem. Life is to be lived. Live it. Savour it. Don’t just let it pass you by. When we are in a hurry, we lose awareness. We become robots.

Respect Nature
Let’s save our environment. If we have to go back to harmony, our environment needs to be healed. Let’s not add to the woes of an already injured mother earth.
But it is a fact that scientists (who did not got influenced by influential govts. and vested companies) have already proclaimed that irreversible damages have been already done to the environment. So, it looks like prayer would be our last resort.

Exercise
Even a moderate light exercise done daily is much better than a heavy dose of hatha yoga once a while. Exercise is like food, you cannot get results by eating a lot once a month. You have to take small quantities at regular intervals. Same with exercise, it gives much better results even if done for 5 min. daily. And no need to do any strenuous one if you are not the gym type person. 2-3 rounds of jogging, or even five-ten minutes of simple full body joints movements gives excellent returns on time invested by saving you from a lot of illnesses. No exaggeration there.

Balance
Moderation is the key to good health and happiness. Stomach is the root where most of the diseases are born. Balance in eating, sleeping, work, love and entertainment is fundamental to a happy existence. Neither too much, nor too less. Like the salt in your curry. Do not over-furnish your rooms. Be simple and you will be happy.

Meditation and Relaxation
To be at peace with ourselves. To release all tensions from our muscles and body. Scientists are now finding that meditation is a good brain food. And that too much thinking is really bad for our brain cells. What yogi knew so long ago. Scientists really need to catch up with the ancient wisdom!!

Kick that couch
Scientists have found that meditation boosts performance more than even sleep. So an extra one hour of sleep can be easily exchanged with a 10-15 minute meditation. If you cut hour an hour of TV and instead spend 10 minute in exercise and 15 minute in meditation, it will give a super boost to your daily energy level.

Correct Breathing
This one is really a gem. Almost 90% of the grown ups are inhaling only 30% of oxygen-prana because of their wrong way of breathing. Shallow breathing or chest breathing starves the lungs and the solar plexus. So what happens is an accumulation of negative emotions and pent up energy in the region of solar plexus which is scientifically proven to be our second brain. Again here yogis took a 5000 year old lead from scientists. What scientists proved 5-10 years ago, yogis knew 5000 years ago. Now this is a major cause of stress and lack of energy in most of the modern people. We need to learn deep abdominal breathing and reverse our habit of shallow breathing.

Give and Grow Rich
Become the masters of your destiny. Whatever you sow, so shall you reap. So whatever you want to have, give that to others. You need to be more loved, love others. You want others to understand you. Understand others. You want to be rich, tithe. Give 5-10% of your net income in charity. That is the law. Give and you shall receive.

These are very simple principles. That is why they are so difficult to practice. As the wise man said,
“Its so simple to be happy, but it is so difficult to be simple”. So mainly to conclude, happiness comes where there is simplicity. So let’s strive to be simple. And happiness and harmony will follow.

Slow Hands

Sometimes the fastest way to speed things up is to slow down. Try this slow-motion hand meditation to clear your mind.

Recently, I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish. It was much too long and ambitious—but I geared up to move on all fronts anyway. After some exasperation at the slow headway I was making, I sat down with a wise friend for some counsel. "It sounds like you want to get a lot of things done," he said.

"Absolutely," I replied. "But I'm frustrated at this pace."

After a long pause he replied, "If you really want to speed things up, you have to slow down first." Much as I wasn't ready for that bit of wisdom, once I tried slowing down, I realized he was right. By slowing down I became more relaxed and clear. I was able to trust my intuition and choose the best steps for the projects that truly resonated with my highest aspirations.

TAKE A BREAK
In our hyped-up and caffeinated culture, who doesn't want to do more faster? But you may also crave a break from your overstimulated mind and aspire to a calmer, more intuitive, and present state. It's easy to lose sight of your main purpose amid the distractions of a frenzied mind. Slowing down brings you back to the here and now.

Many meditation techniques use one point as an object of concentration. Whether it's the breath, a mantra, sensations, the thought of love, or awareness itself, the object of concentration can be a doorway to the moment. But sometimes this single focus is too subtle for the mind to track easily. If that's been your experience, you may find that slow-motion movement, which begins with attention to strong sensations in the body, to be a more tangible and satisfying focal point.

This process of gradually shifting your attention from the large movement of the asanas to the small movements of the breath is the essence of raja yoga. As you attend to the postures, you encounter and release deep-seated tensions. You also refine your awareness by concentrating on the subtlety of your breath and turning inward (pratyahara). From there you can move to increasingly subtler forms of mindfulness, from one-pointedness (dharana) to one-flowingness (dhyana) to absorption (samadhi).

A wonderful and accessible means of moving meditation involves concentrating on the slow movement of your hands. (See "Try Your Hand," end of article.)

FEEL THE FORCE
Any meditation practice quickly reveals how your mind is habitually consumed by thoughts of the future or past. Moments of awareness in the present are comparatively few, but slow-motion movement, because it captures your mind's attention, can draw you directly into experiencing the sensations of the present moment. This technique can pull your mind into one-pointed concentration forcefully, but it also has larger implications as you become more sensitive to the life force.

Many yogis believe that life force, or prana, runs your autonomic nervous system, animating your body and keeping all systems working at optimal levels. Usually, your mind submits to the healing presence of prana when you're sleeping, which is why a good night's sleep can be so restorative.

Try Your Hand

1. Sit comfortably and shake out your hands, as if you were flinging water off your fingertips. Deepen your breath slightly. When your hands feel energized, place them on your thighs, palms facing up. Take a few moments to focus on the sensations in your hands. Feel, if you can, the pulse in your fingertips.

2. As your breath deepens, see if you can activate your belly, diaphragm, rib cage, and upper chest. Breathe deep into your belly. Fill your upper chest with air at the top of the inhalation, then see how much you can relax with each exhalation.

3. Imagine a light at the core of your being. As you breathe in, let the light pulse a little brighter. When you exhale, let it pulse a little dimmer. You can even give it a temperature or assign a color to the sensations in your belly.

4. With each breath, imagine this energy filling your chest and shoulders. Feel it flow down your arms and into your palms. Notice light and warmth filling your chest cavity, your rib cage, your arms, your hands.

5. Rest your awareness in and around your hands. Feel the air touching your palms, fingers, and thumbs. Feel the outline of your hands and the space between your fingers. When you're ready, gently lift your hands off your body just enough to release them into the air, then let them be perfectly still. Relax your shoulders, arms, and palms.

6. Then lift your hands as slowly as possible, almost imperceptibly. Feel the smallest movement in your awareness as you continue to life your hands. See how much you can slow down. Imagine the molecules of air rolling between your fingers. See if you can slow the motion down so much that your hands feel as if they're moving by themselves.

7. When it feels right, turn your palms toward each other. As your hands come together, pulse them ever so slowly. Imagine, if you can, the edges of the energy field between your hands. You may feel as if you're holding a ball of pulsing energy, or as if your hands were opposite poles of a magnet. Your mind is relaxed but also aware, witnessing the flow of sensation into your hands.

8. For the next few minutes, let your hands move naturally and your mind observe the smallest details of sensation. At some point, bring your hands to a place on your body that needs healing or attention.

9. In your own time, let your hands come to rest in your lap and sit for a few more minutes in silence.

Could a High-Fat, Low-Carb Diet Someday Replace Dialysis?

A type of low-carb, high-fat diet that's typically used to manage seizures for children with epilepsy could reverse kidney disease in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics, a new animal study suggests. If successful in humans, the so-called ketogenic diet could have the potential to replace dialysis, which is a procedure that artificially filters blood in place of a damaged or failed kidney, said study researcher Charles Mobbs, professor of neuroscience and geriatrics and palliative care medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.

"I speculate that this may be useful to completely cure diabetic kidney failure, and I hope that it's possible," Mobbs told My Health . "If it's possible, we can potentially not require dialysis. That's a big deal."

However, a lot more research in mice is needed before any studies can be done in humans, Mobbs said, let alone determine if the diet can reverse advanced kidney disease in humans, he said.

"That's the first thing we want to establish in mice: Can we truly reset the clock? Can we completely correct the [kidney] impairments?" Mobbs said.

Other experts say the finding is promising for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics with earlier-stage kidney disease, but more research must be done to provide evidence that the diet can make an impact on end-stage kidney disease, or kidney failure.

Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin (needed to move blood sugar into cells for energy) to control blood sugar levels, according to the National Institutes of Health. Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin, leading to high blood sugar levels. Overweight and obesity, a sedentary lifestyle and poor diet are risk factors for Type 2 diabetes, according to the NIH.

The study was published today (April 20) in the journal PLoS ONE.

Reversing kidney disease

Mobbs and his colleagues induced kidney disease in mice that were genetically engineered to have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. They measured proteins in the mice's urine until levels were 10 times higher than normal, which is a telltale sign of kidney disease.

Then, half the mice were put on a ketogenic diet (87 percent of calories from fat, with a moderate amount of calories from protein and few calories from carbohydrates), and the other half were put on a standard high-carbohydrate diet, according to the study.

After eight weeks, researchers found that kidney disease was reversed, and damage to the organ had been repaired, in the mice that were on the ketogenic diet, the study said, though there was less damage repair in the mice with Type 2 diabetes than the mice with Type 1 diabetes.

Researchers also found that expression of genes that indicate kidney failure were turned off in the mice fed the ketogenic diet, according to the study.

When a person consumes a ketogenic diet, blood levels of ketones are elevated (a state called ketosis). The body's cells are able to get energy from ketones, which are molecules that are produced when fat levels in the blood are high and blood glucose levels are low, Mobbs said. Essentially the body burns fat rather than carbs (called glucose metabolism) for fuel.

"The key to the whole study is that ketones block glucose metabolism," Mobbs said. "Pretty much everybody agrees that diabetic complications are caused by too much glucose metabolism in the cell, so it was kind of an obvious hypothesis that if you can increase ketones long enough, that that would block glucose metabolism and allow the cells to recover from their damage."

However, this is simply a hypothesis — more research is needed to determine the exact mechanism by which ketones work to reverse kidney damage in mice, he said.

"There are a lot of things we don't know yet about how [the ketones are] working," Mobbs said.

It's also possible that the diet works by promoting stem cells to replace damaged cells in the kidneys, he said.

If the findings can be replicated in humans, Mobbs said the diet shouldn't be consumed for long periods of time. Rather, one month of the diet could be sufficient in reversing the kidney damage, he said.

Implications of the findings

Past research has shown that a low-protein diet has a small effect in slowing kidney-function decline in humans. However, that study, published in 1994 in the New England Journal of Medicine, didn't show that a low-protein diet made a difference in people with advanced kidney disease.

However, what may make this ketogenic diet work better than a purely low-protein diet is the fact that the diet induces ketosis (high ketone levels in the blood), said Dr. Leslie Spry, spokesman for the National Kidney Foundation and volunteer professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, who was not involved with the study.

"The new part of this would be the ability to achieve and maintain ketosis in an individual with caloric restriction," Spry told My Health.
However, Spry said he would be surprised if the diet worked in someone with advanced diabetic kidney disease, because of the great amount of damage to the kidneys that is associated with that stage of disease.

"I would very much doubt that late kidney disease would be reversible, and I would be dubious about that," Spry said. Therefore, researchers must be able to prove that ketosis can actually reverse the effects of kidney disease in humans before the diet can be considered a replacement for dialysis, he said.

Pass it on: Though more research is needed before it can be proven in humans, a ketogenic diet reverses kidney disease in mice with Type 1 and 2 diabetes.

Antidepressants Could Help Heal Brain After Injury

While antidepressants are often prescribed after a traumatic brain injury to help patients deal with the emotional fallout from their ordeal, new research suggests these medications could also help the brain itself heal.

A new study found that antidepressants can help brain cells grow and survive after brain trauma, and can even lead to improved memory and brain function.

Injured mice given the antidepressant imipramine (known commercially as Tofranil) had 70 percent more brain cells after four weeks than mice not treated with antidepressants, said study researcher Dr. Jason Huang, an associate professor of neurosurgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center and chief of neurosurgery at Highland Hospital in New York.

The mice treated with antidepressants also showed, through behavioral tests, improved memory skills, Huang said.

The finding is especially important because as many as half of patients who suffer from traumatic brain injury also have depression, and therefore take antidepressant medications, Huang said. The study suggests the antidepressants could provide a benefit beyond just treating depression — they could also help the brain heal.

 Behavioral and biological differences

Huang and his colleagues induced traumatic brain injuries in mice. Afterward, they gave some of the mice antidepressants, and found that these mice had a 70 percent increase in growth of brain cells, called neurons, in the hippocampus (the part of the brain responsible for memory).

The mice also exhibited behavioral differences that indicated an improvement in memory, Huang said. Researchers put the mice through a novel object recognition test, where scientists record the amount of time mice take to size up new objects. The longer mice gazed at a new object, the better their memory, scientists assumed, because it means that the mice remembered objects they'd previously encountered and recognized the new object as novel.

The mice given the antidepressants spent about 15 percent more time exploring new objects compared with mice that weren't given the medications, the study found.

However, the antidepressants didn't seem to improve the animals' mobility and motor functions, Huang said, which mirrors what is typically observed in traumatic brain injury survivors who take antidepressants.

Stimulating cell growth

Though more studies are needed to prove the connection, antidepressants likely help improve brain function by stimulating growth of new brain cells from stem cells, and by helping existing brain cells survive, Huang said.

"Our data is not strong enough to prove both, but we think the possibility exists that both [methods] play a role," he said. "I think we definitely have enhanced the number of brain cells, or neurons, and also preserved and prevented them from dying."

The study also shows that brain cells are able to migrate to the parts of the brain that need them the most, which explains why the most brain cell growth was observed in the hippocampus, Huang said.

Past research has shown that antidepressants can spur generation of brain cells in healthy animals. For those with traumatic brain injury, antidepressants may not be able to restore memory to pre-injury levels in patients, but they can at least improve memory to a level that is higher than if they didn’t take antidepressants, Huang said.

"For more severe [brain injury], it's hard to get to 100 percent normal," he said.

Huang said more research is needed in humans before the Food and Drug Administration will approve antidepressants for uses beyond combating depression, but because the drug is already approved to treat depression, the time frame for approval may be shorter than usual.

"A complete new drug may take 10 years from bench work to clinical trial" to be approved, Huang said. "But for an already FDA-approved drug, it can take two years. So that could be very fast," if further studies substantiate the findings, he said.

Pass it on: Antidepressants could improve memory and brain function in people with traumatic brain injury.

The Healthy Geezer: Are Cosmetics Safe?

Question: Are cosmetics safe?

Answer: Cosmetics include makeup, hair dyes, perfumes, skin creams, lotions, nail polishes, toothpastes and deodorants. Unlike drugs, which are used to treat or prevent disease, cosmetics do not affect the body's structure or functions.

In 1938, Congress passed the U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act to protect consumers. Under the law, cosmetics must be made and packaged in clean factories; cannot contain poison, rotten, or harmful ingredients; may only use color additives that are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and must have a clear, truthful label.

The FDA does not test cosmetics before they are sold in stores. The FDA can take action against companies who break the law.

Some products are both cosmetics and drugs. For example, an antidandruff shampoo is a cosmetic because it cleans hair, but it is also a drug because it treats dandruff. These products must meet the standards for both cosmetics and drugs.

Some cosmetic makers use the term “cosmeceutical” to refer to products that have drug-like benefits. The term has no meaning under the law.

You can tell if you're buying a cosmeceutical by checking the container to see if the first ingredient listed is an “active ingredient.” The active ingredient is the chemical that makes the product effective, and the manufacturer must have proof that it's safe for its intended use.

Hypoallergenic cosmetics are products that manufacturers claim cause fewer allergic reactions than other products. There are no federal standards for using the term hypoallergenic; it can mean whatever a company wants it to mean. Cosmetic makers do not have to prove their claims to the FDA.

Some products that have “natural” ingredients can cause allergic reactions. If you have an allergy to certain plants or animals, you could have an allergic reaction to cosmetics with those things in them.

Some cosmetics can cause acne. Choose “non-comedogenic” make-up and hair care products. This means they don't close the pores in your skin.

Serious problems from cosmetics are rare.

The most common injury from cosmetics is from scratching the eye with a mascara wand. Never apply mascara while in a moving vehicle.

Sharing make-up is a no-no. Cosmetic brushes and sponges pick up bacteria from the skin. And if you moisten brushes with saliva, the problem can be worse.

If mascara flakes into your eyes while you sleep, you might wake up with itching, bloodshot eyes, infections, or eye scratches. Remove all make-up before going to bed.

It is dangerous to use aerosol hairspray near heat. Until hairspray is fully dry, it is flammable. Aerosol sprays or powders also can cause lung damage if they are inhaled deeply into the lungs.

Here are some more tips for the use of cosmetics:
Keep makeup containers clean and closed tight when not in use.
Wash your hands before you put on makeup.
Do not add saliva or water to makeup.
Throw away makeup if the color or smell changes.
Don’t store your make-up above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Stop using a product if you get a rash, itching, redness, sneezing or wheezing.
Do not keep mascara too long. Some companies say three months is long enough.
Do not use eye makeup if you have an eye infection. Throw away eye makeup you were using.
Do not use cosmetics near your eyes unless they are meant for your eyes. For example, don’t use a lip liner as an eyeliner. You may spread germs from your mouth to your eyes.
Kohl — also known as al-kahl, kajal, or surma — is used in some parts of the world for enhancing eyes. Kohl is unapproved in the United States. Kohl has been linked to lead poisoning in children.
Don't dye eyelashes and eyebrows. No color additives are approved by FDA for permanent dyeing or tinting of eyelashes and eyebrows. Permanent eyelash and eyebrow tints and dyes have been known to cause serious eye injuries.
